Matureness Open (Official WCA competition)

The Matureness Open speedcubing competition will take place on April 5th and 6th 2014 in Lint, Belgium. Near to Antwerp, Lier and Mechelen.

The Matureness Open is a Rubik's Cube competition organized by Tiemen De Meester.

With this competition we hope to attract a lot of local cubers and give them a chance to compete.
We also warmly invite competitors who come from abroad to give this event an international flavor.

During the championship the official WCA regulations will be applied. 
Results of the championship will be added to the official WCA World Rankings

Before the competition starts all competitors can practice on the official timing equipment: the Stackmat timer. 
All puzzle brands may be used during the competition, as long as the puzzles comply with the WCA regulations.

The entrance fee for this competition will be as follows:

The total registration fee needs to be payed in cash on your first day of the competition.
Please bring the exact amount of cash with u so registration will run smoothly.

Registration will be closed on March 31 or when we reach 60 competitors. We allow guests.

Lint is easily reachable by car or public transportation.

Lint is situated 47 km north of Brussels and 14 km south of Antwerp, right by the E19 highway.

At the venue there is a parking and it's free of charge.

By bus

You can take busses, 130,131,123 and 135 to Lint.

These busses pass by 2 major train stations in the neigborhood, being Lier and Kontich.

It's about a 20min bus ride from Lier to Lint and about 5min bus ride from Kontich to Lint.

By train

You can take train Antwerp-Brussels to Kontich and take bus 130 or 131 with direction Lier to the ,,Lint Kasteelplein" bus stop.

Or you can take train Antwerp-Liège to Lier and take bus 130 or 135, with direction Wilrijk, or 132, with direction Boom, to the ,,Lint Kasteelplein" bus stop.

Where to sleep

People who need a cheap place to stay,please contact me, so I can see how many people there would be. There is nothing for sure yet, i'm sorry.

There is a youth hostel in Mechelen at 13 km of the venue and another youth hostel at 14 km, in Antwerp.

There are Bed & Breakfasts at 4 km in Kontich, at 6 km in Lier, at 6 km, in Mortsel, at 8 km in Sint Katelijne Waver(, and a lot more at Bed & Breakfast.
